Some are saying, “I’ve had enough. I just want out.”

Others?
“This is the best time to buy more.”

And you know what?

The Landscape Has Shifted

2025 looks very different to a few years ago.

Higher mortgage rates, tighter legislation, more tenant protections, rising maintenance costs — the pressure is real.

If your property isn’t performing as it should, or you’re finding compliance a constant uphill battle, selling might genuinely be the right move.

Some of our landlord clients have recently sold underperforming or headache-prone rentals — and reinvested into lower-maintenance, higher-yield homes. Others have simply stepped away, cashed out, and used the money elsewhere.

“There are opportunities here — if I play it smart.”

These are the ones looking to:

• Buy from tired landlords (you’d be surprised at the discounts available for fast completions)

• Upgrade their current stock to meet EPC targets early and increase rental income

• Switch letting agents for stronger tenant management and yield

Sometimes, success isn’t about doing more.
